I know... I've been slacking on this blog thing. Or maybe I didn't have anything to write about. Thanks for giving me something to write about! ;-)

Une petite mort?

I never compared an orgasm to death before...

Of course further discussion on this topic could become gross. :)

Of course I do not mind... The more the merrier!

As long as they are intellectual discussions about orgasms... That's right up my alley! ;)

Elwood is just my PT handle... My real name is Brian.

I am 27 years old. I work as a Network Administrator. I have a Bachelors Degree in Communications and a Masters in Computer Information Systems. I like to ski a lot (obviously). I also enjoy long walks in the park and sushi... Grew up in Chicago, I don't live there anymore. I am a total moe.ron too...

Anything else? :)

actually, death has been a euphemism for orgasms for a LONG time. you've never heard someone refer to death in the shakespearean sense? or the monteverdian sense? we sang a song in my high school choir by monteverdi called "si ch'io vorei morire" (spelling might be off), which translates to "yes, i want to die"....the end of the song was this amazing climax: "oh the mouth! oh the lips! oh the tongue, the tongue! and i repeat: YES! I WANT TO DIE! I want to die. [nearly whispered] i waaaaaannnnnt tooooooo diiiieeeee."

and yes, we discussed the meaning in class, and yes, we performed it the way it was meant to be done.

hi elwood.

Perhaps death is a euphamism for orgasms because orgasms are so closely related to reproduction. If you have orgasms for pure entertainment and not for procreation, it is the "death" of what could have been another life?

Just a thought.

Sounds like the religious freaks had a hand in this euphamism...

I prefer "fun" too Amy.

Hi B!
